Adoption Process
If you are interested in adopting a husky, please review our adoption process, which has an online and a downloadable PDF to our application.
Lia (also known as Amelia) comes to RRHR from Beevile Animal Control. She was a stray that was never reclaimed and is estimated to be 4.5 years old. We were able to pull this beauty into our program thanks to a foster that specifically asked to save her. She will do best with an established pack and not as only dog.
Hank is estimated to be around 2 years old and he is a husky/lab mix. He is full of energy but loves to cuddle with his people too! He gets along with other dogs and ignores the neighborhood cat that comes around. His fosters believe he can do well with a dog savvy cat. If you're interested in this sweet boy, please let us know!
*NOT AVAILABLE* 11-year-old Keller comes to us from Guadalupe County as a stray that was never reclaimed. He has multiple health issues that need to be addressed before he can be available for adoption. He has limited sight, limited hearing, and grotesquely underweight at a staggering 30 pounds. If you'd like to donate directly to his care, please do so through our website and make a note that it is for him. Please follow his healing journey by clicking on his photo which will take you to his Facebook Photo Album.
Brady came to us from Cuero Animal Control where he was being fostered through the shelter. The shelter's foster graciously offered to continue fostering him and we were able to pull him into our program. While he is a husky mix, he is absolutely stunning! We estimate him to be around 3 years old and he LOVES the water.
Cloud came to us from a concerned supporter that found this poor boy abandoned near their home. He was malnourished and also had heartworms. After getting him necessary treatments and no luck finding an owner, we stepped in with the finder continuing to foster him. He is a bi-eyed handsome boy and just an absolute cuddle bug. He is estimated to be around 2 years old, but he could be older.
Duke came to us from Guadalupe County where he was on the euthanasia list. A supporter stepped up to foster him and we were able to bring him into our program. He is estimated to be around 4 years old and has an injured paw that we are working on healing. He is bi-eyed and a love bug. He is timid at first, but once he warms up to you, he really begins to shine.
*Medical Treatment* Ziggy is estimated around 2 years old and came to us from Corpus Christi Animal Control where she was picked up as a stray and never reclaimed. With a dedicated foster, we were able to pull her into our program. We learned after committing that she is heartworm positive and has begun her treatment. Once she is cleared, she will be available for adoption. We can accept applications but please note we will not finalize until after her treatment.
